Don’t be late

Patients being late to their doctor appointments or patients not showing up to appointments are a big problem in outpatient clinics throughout the Middle East. Many patients don’t realise how being late to an appointment can cause a chain reaction of delayed appointments, which can cause a number of distressing scenarios. The ‘Don’t be late’ posters are an active awareness campaign to educate patients on how important it is to be on time for their appointment.

The campaign started in 2009 with the clock face concept, whereby the clock face numbers are replaced by waiting room chairs. The single red chair illustrates how one element can disrupt the order of things. The 2010 campaign replaces the chairs with images of patients and doctors, to make the disruption caused by late patients more obvious and relatable.
