Astralis Spa is a luxurious spa, fitness and beauty centre, located in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. After successfully creating the identity for Astralis Spa, we were recently asked to create a new website and to create a feasible wayfinding system for the premises.
The wayfinding project for Astralis was an interesting project as a tight deadline and limited resources in the local market led to there being limited options with regards to execution of the project. As a result, we adopted a simple and stylish design, minimising production costs. To create the wayfinding system we developed a range of icons – reinforced with labels on the larger signs – in both Arabic and English.
The website uses WordPress for the back-end with a custom made theme developed in-house for the front end. Images of the spa feature heavily in the front page of the design as the Spa itself is a wonderfully and uniquely designed space. The website is also fully responsive and can be viewed perfectly on a mobile device. In addition to the website, a Twitter template was also created, as Twitter has become a major part of the marketing strategy for the Spa.
